Howto: Fix idstorage keys

“The keys are various settings stored in the flash. They are mostly low-level stuff that concerns the operation of things like the USB and WLAN. Screwing up the keys can result in the USB not working quite right, the WLAN hanging, brightness issues, or low battery issues. Generally, you don’t want to mess with the keys. TA-082/86 PSPs need one key to be modified in order to run the 1.5 kernel. Old downgraders messed with more than that one key.”
So did the downgrader that I used to downgrade my PSP from firmware 2.71 to 1.5. Corrupted idstorage keys were the reason why psplink didn’t work for me when I first played around with it. It took me a while until I figured out that using the first version of the downgrader for TA-082 models was the reason.
User ChillyWilly from the eXophase forums released his application KeyCleaner that “[...] shows the state of the IdStorage in your PSP, and makes corrections to common problems caused by the old downgraders (TA-082/86 only).”. KeyCleaner is able to restore all keys but key 0×43 automatically. To restore the key 0×43 you need a dump of the non corrupted value. You should be able to aquire a good key 0×43 file from the net, a good PSP, a friend, etc. You can download the recent version of the application here.
That is the way ChillyWilly recommends to fix the keys of your PSP:
1. Run keyCleaner
2. Choose Dump the keys (just in case). That gives you a copy of all the current keys in a folder called “keys” inside the KeyCleaner folder.
3. Choose Fix without files. This should fix all the keys but 0×43.
4. Acquire a good key 0×43 file from the net, a good PSP, a friend, etc.
5. Make another folder in the KeyCleaner folder, let’s call it “good keys”.
6. Copy that good key 0×43 file to that folder. Make sure the name is “0×0043.bin” or it won’t be recognized.
7. Run KeyCleaner and choose Fix with files. Hit O on the PSP until you see the name of the folder at the top (remember we named the folder “good keys” ). Press X to select the “good keys” folder. This will fix key 0×43.
8. Choose Dump the keys again. This will then rename the original dump to “keys0000″ and make a new dump of your now good keys into the “keys” folder.
As the application reads and writes to the flash of your PSP there is theoretically a change of bricking it. To reduce the risk of a bricked PSP make sure to read the README file that comes with the application and follow the instructions.
Sinon sur le problème que tu mentionnes j'ai trouvé une réponse du programmeur de KC 1.4:
KC won't fix key 0x41 when it's bad all by itself. The way to fix key 0x41 is:
Run IdStorage Manager and dump the keys.
Copy a good 0x0041.bin over top the dumped one.
Run IDSM again and select verify/fix keys.
That will replace key 0x41 with the contents of the good 0x0041.bin file. You can PM someone for a copy of that key... it's universal (among phats), so you don't have to worry about matching models or whatnot.

Zack is walking and his phone rings.

Angelu: Zack, you made it?
Zack: Angelu, what's going on? Shinra soliders are the enemy.
Angelu: Those guys are Wutai groups disguised. Now, next part is heading up towards an open space
Zack: In the direction of section number eight right.
Angelu: Yeah. But before that you need to break through a railroad first
Zack: By breakthrough you mean?

Zack runs up the stairs and proceeds and encounters a Behemoth. He fights it.
After the fight. Someone sneaks behind Zack and draws their sword to his face

Sword fight begins

Zack's swords breaks and he falls down

Sephiroth is about to stab Zack but is saved by Angelu

Chapter 3: The missing Soldiers
Zack is excercising in the Shinra building
Kanselu: Zack your pretty impatient about this aren't you
Zack: Obviously, it's been nothing but drills, there is no field. It's a matter of if I'm being held back. It's been busy lately right? And everyone has been absent.

Lazard: It's fast but---Soldier First Class Gensis. One month ago, in a Wutai movement operation he ment missing. Do you know anything?
Zack: Nothing at all.
Lazard: Our operation has ended up stopping because of this. So we need to have you go there.
Zack: You mean..to Wutai?
Angelu: Yeah to end this war that has gone on for too long.
Angelu: I left a recommendation for you to become first.
Zack: Aaaah! A-----Ge------Lu!!!! I love you Angelu!
Angelu: Don't shame me got it
Zack: YES!
Angelu: Preparations won't be done, we head out immediately.

You have to find strong materia yourself, that's the Soldier way. On top of which, there's something you can't forget, it's about that thing called "Mission." If you want to say, it's sent from the Shinra company, a "job" if you want to call it that. If you want to take a mission, you have to report to the mission bot.

Zack reports to the mission bot and goes to the save point to take a mission

Chapter 4: Stupid Apple
Kanselu: Well done, I guess it's mission clear huh?
Zack: It was so easy I was yawning!
Kanselu: Hahaha, as expected of Zack. I'll be participating in the mission in Wutai (???). Oh yeah, I was forgetting something important.
Kanselu goes and explains about the Pot at the side of the room, you can get items from it. You should check it often.
Zack goes to the pot and gets a Bronze Bangle.
Kanselu: Alright, looks like preparations are complete. I'll tell you everything else by mail. I just sent you a mail for the mission. Just between us Soldiers, let's keep trading mail. Lazard's most thankful stories (?), Shinra news and stuff can be sent through mail. You should check it often. On top of which, mail from your friends.
Kanselu: But don't just check for mail from girls. Well, that's about it, it's about time to depart. You're going with Angelu aren't you, good luck, friend

Zack: Hey! Thanks for telling me all this.
Zack goes back to Lazard's room after doing save, and talks to Angelu.
Angelu: It's time to head to Wutai, are you done preparing?

Lazard: I'll be going with you on this mission as well. I have high hopes in you.
Zack: Yes!
Lazard: By the way, your dream is? "To become first" right?
Zack: No--- I'm going to become a hero.
